ABOUT

When did learning start to feel like hard work? And when the internet has all the answers, what’s really worth learning anyway?

At Curiosity Workshops, the skills and knowledge associated with maths and languages are some of the learning fundamentals explored away from books and screens, into areas of genuine interest: arts, crafts and music; astronomy and navigation; food and cooking; nature and wildlife; sport and games; to take a few.

What’s more, they can be fascinating subjects to explore in their own right, especially if their significance - and their limitations - are on the table.

At Curiosity Workshops, a selection of DIY instruments and gadgets invite dynamic, hands-on and practical learning. Designed with many years of experience in teaching around maths, languages and the learning process, each reveals insights into the design, evolution and functionality these skills that are sometimes taken at face value.

Afterall, maths is just a word…
